Post-Quantum Architecture

Bitcoin Quantum combines NIST-standardized post-quantum cryptography with Bitcoin’s proven architecture to create a digital store of value that stays secure against both classical and quantum threats. It replaces Bitcoin’s ECDSA signatures with CRYSTALS-Dilithium, while keeping the familiar foundations like the UTXO model, Bitcoin scripting, and SHA-256 proof-of-work. The protocol is also designed to stay flexible over time, so it can adopt new post-quantum standards as cryptography continues to evolve.

Network Separation

Bitcoin Quantum runs as a separate network with its own genesis block, network identifiers, and address formats. This clean separation prevents cross-chain replay attacks and removes confusion between chains, so transactions can’t be accidentally or maliciously reused across networks.
